LOUDER THAN A BOMB

Louder Than A Bomb is an annual youth poetry competition in Chicago. It has helped raise the profiles of talented young artists including Chance the Rapper and Jamila Woods. In 2013 I produced an hour-long radio special for WBEZ featuring poetry and interviews.

That same year I also photographed young men and women inside the Cook County Juvenile Temporary Detention Center as they delivered heartfelt performances as part of the poetry competition.
